Help us welcome our new music directors with a special brunch from 9:45 am to 10:45 am in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, July 25th!

I am honored to be serving your faith community as Choir Director. My background includes 19 years as a music teacher and choir director for grades K-12 in New York and Chesterfield. I have also performed with many choirs throughout NY and Europe. The past 3 years, I’ve worked in instructional technology, but longing to make music is still in my blood!

Bermuda Hundred UMC has a very special place in my heart. My sons Joey, 8, and Sammy, 6, are esteemed alumni of your wonderful preschool. I knew then that this community is a special place filled with the love and peace of Christ, and I still believe that to this day!

Thank you for your warm welcome. I will do my best to serve God and this community as we make joyful noises unto the Lord!

11 AM Traditional Worship Service

The Music of Summer – A Cause to P.A.W.S.

Summer is definitely here and we have the heat to prove it! What are your plans for the summer? Will it be a vacation staying home and relaxing or going to visit family and friends? Whatever your plans are, don’t forget to take Jesus with you. Pray before you start your journey. When you’re in the car, put on some Christian music and sing up a storm. (You don’t even have to put on the music, you can just sing, sing, sing!). Last October, some women friends of mine came to visit me (all the way from Arizona) and we traveled up through the Shenandoah Valley area. We had a blast singing along to Chris Tomlin while enjoying God’s beautiful scenery. You can even put on some tunes while cleaning! Doesn’t that sound fun? Enjoy the summer with Jesus as your closest companion.

If you are staying in town, we’d love to see you at P.A.W.S. There is no better way to start off the week, than to be at Church where we are free to Praise and Worship our almighty God.

P.A.W.S. is truly a praise and worship service. When we praise God, we are lifting our voices up to the one that gives us life. We are thanking God for his amazing grace and acknowledging Jesus as our Lord and King! Our God is awesome! “It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,” (Psalm 92:1, NIV).

When we worship God, we are stripping away our outside layers and humbly coming before God in adoration, thanksgiving and complete awe. We will magnify the Lord. “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker” (Psalm 95:6, NIV). It’s not about just singing the songs, but it is about pouring out our hearts to God and connecting to Him in a personal way. God desires an intimate relationship with each of us. This is awesome! “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24, NIV).

Have a musical summer. Be safe and enjoy all that God has in store. We hope to see you for P.A.W.S. and are excited about what God is doing at Bermuda Hundred UMC. Let the summer of Praise and Worship begin!

Praise and Worship Service (P.A.W.S.):

The Praise and Worship Service (P.A.W.S.) begins at 8:45 am on Sundays. This is a casual dress and contemporary service. Many of the songs sung at this service are taken from "The Faith We Sing" hymnal. Many of our Youth sing in the P.A.W.S. Team. The Praise and Worship Team practices at 6:00 pm on Thursdays in the Fellowship Hall.

Do you play an instrument or would you like to sing with the P.A.W.S. Team? Let us know! You are welcome to join us!

We are looking for a lead guitarist, keyboard player and drummer to join the P.A.W.S. band. Other instruments welcome too! Contact the church office at 530-1391 for more details!

11:00 AM Worship Service:

The 11:00 am Worship Service on Sundays is our traditional worship service with songs mainly taken from the United Methodist Hymnal and occasionally from "The Faith We Sing Hymnal". The Adult Choir rehearses at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary on Thursdays. Youth and adults welcome.

Children's Choir:

Children's Choir will resume in September. Children K through 4th grades welcome!
