Thank you for honoring your pledges in 2009.
Thanks to the faithful members of Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church. We’ve been able to meet the needs of a growing community. We provide the salary for a full time pastor and six part-time employees: administrative assistant, music directors, pianist, and a part-time cleaning woman.
Due to your continued support, we have increased our giving to local missions, this has allowed us to support people in our community. Weekly we assist people with utility, food, rent, and prescriptions. We provide additional support to CCHASM, by giving food baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also gave an additional offering to Pathways Ministries in Petersburg. Your “extravagant generosity” allowed our youth to go on a mission trip last summer to Galilee by the Sea, NC. This was a life changing experience for many of our youth, and an opportunity for them to put their faith into action.
In 2009, we added 34 members, while doubling our overall attendance. We are grateful for the new sound equipment and technology in the Fellowship Hall. The early worship service averages about 60 people per Sunday, with contemporary worship style.
