WELCOME BACK!!!
Can you believe it summer is over and it is back to school time already? I have been getting mixed reactions, some kids say they are glad and some are sad. I am actually super excited that we are starting our Sunday school classes again because our teachers have some very exciting things in store for the kids this year.
We are going to be using the Rocksolid series and our teachers have come up with a fun reward system to encourage the kids to be there every Sunday. The children will each get their own bag with their name on it and they will get coins for things like each Sunday they come, bringing a friend, memorizing Bible verses, and other good behaviors! There might also be a super special Treasure box that you can pick a prize from after accumulating a certain number of coins. We will have an extraordinarily huge prize at the end of the year for every child who has had perfect attendance!!!!
One more thing kids should be prepared for is to bring tithes to Sunday school this year. We will be taking up an offering in the Sunday school classes. This money will be kept in a separate fund and the children will be given the opportunity to vote on and decide what to do with it at the end of the year. They will be given the opportunity to pick a mission or local charity.
We need volunteers for Children’s Church, Nursery, and Backup Sunday school teachers. In addition, we have depleted all of the snacks over the summer. We need juice boxes, cookies, crackers etc., please nothing with nuts.
· We will be recognizing the Children moving from the younger Sunday school class to the older Sunday School class on September 12th during the 11o’clock service
· Children’s Ministry Meeting will be held September 19th after the 11o’clock service. Please bring soup or salad.
