THE UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM) HAVE A BUSY SCHEDULE PLANNED FOR THE NEXT FOUR MONTHS. ON TUESDAY, JAN. 24TH, WE CLEANED OUT THE CLOSETS IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL AND THE STORAGE AREA AT THE PAVILLION. WE ARE ALSO SHOPPING FOR ADDITIONAL TABLES FOR THE FELLOWSHIP HALL. AND PAVILION AREA.

 

WE ARE STILL LOOKING AT REPLACING THE FENCE AROUND THE HVAC UNITS AND WE ARE PRICING AN ICE MAKER FOR THE KITCHEN.

 

ON FEBRUARY 21ST WE WILL PROVIDE THE SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER AT NO COST TO YOU. WE JUST ASK YOU TO INVITE A FRIEND OR FAMILY AND COME ON OUT AND ENJOY A FREE MEAL. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO INSIST ON GIVING SOMETHING EVERY TIME YOU’RE IN CHURCH, WE WILL HAVE BASKETS AVAILABLE AND ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DIVIDED BETWEEN THE YOUTH GROUP AND MISSIONS AT BERMUDA HUNDRED.

 

PASTOR JAN ASKED US TO PROVIDE AND COOK THE TURKEYS FOR THE SEDER MEAL ON APRIL 3RD , AND ON APRIL 8TH, WE WILL BE PREPARING BREAKFAST FOR ANYONE COMING EARLY FOR EASTER.

 

ON APRIL 25TH WE WILL BE HAVING OUR ANNUAL FISH FRY, SO MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND COME ON OUT AND JOIN US FOR DELICIOUS FISH, HUSHPUPPIES AND COLE SLAW, AND OUTSTANDING FELLOWSHIP.

 

ALL MEN ARE INVITED TO JOIN THE UMM. WE MEET EVERY 3RD TUESDAY AT 6:30 PM AT RIVER’S BEND GRILL, UNLESS NOTIFIED OTHERWISE. WE BUY A MEAL AND HAVE A BUSINESS MEETING. AT YOUR FIRST MEETING, THE MEAL IS ON ME, SO COME ON OUT AND JOIN US. IF YOU CAN’T JOIN US AT THE MEETINGS, COME HELP US ON OUR PROJECTS.

United Methodist Women's News: 

The UMW monthly meeting is on the second Monday each month our next meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 13th.

 

 

 

 

 
The Youth will be going to Blackstone February 10-12, we will be giving $135.00 for one person to go.
 
The UMW will have a Mission Moment during the worship services on the 3rd Sunday every other month beginning in February.
 
Betty Forbes and Glenn Harrison are planning our Charter Night in March, be on the lookout for more information.
 
We are planning to collect and send Birthing Kits to Conference this year listed below are the items in each kit:
1 hotel size bar of soap (1 oz. and up)
1 pair of clean latex gloves
1 square yard of clear 4 mil plastic sheeting
3 pieces of clean string each 12” long
1 clean single use razor blade (carefully wrap blade in paper or plastic to protect it)
2 flannelette receiving blankets (each – 1 square yard)
Put in a one gallon plastic bag with zip closure. Close.
A monetary donation for the kits will be appreciated, then we will purchase the items
